Sport promotes social cohesiveness and well-being and Kingston Educational Institute hence has always taken a very active position in sports. Kingston Educational Institute upholds that it must act as a lighthouse of society for providing meaningful education, spiritual direction and leadership to students, parents and the society at large.
Football has enjoyed a prominent position in the sporting history of West Bengal which has produced a number of skilled players who have gone on to achieve great laurels at the National level. To continue unearthing good talent in football and to provide a platform for students to showcase their skills in the game of football along with an opportunity to interact and imbibe values of oneness and unity of mankind, Our Founder President of Kingston Educational Institute Sri Utpal Bhattacharya started an initiative – Inter School Football Tournament in 2014. This tournament is organised every year and involves participation from leading football team from 38 schools in the state, with matches being played across grounds at Dumdum Central Jail Maidan and KEI Barasat Campus. The tournament runs for duration of approximately 10 days in a well maintained spacious and huge athlete friendly playground which is situated inside KEI Campus . Football Olympians Nikhil Nandi and Tulsi Das Balram are also associated with the institute run football academy to nurture the talent of the players at grass root level.
