Civil engineering is one of the most sought-after branches of engineering and probably one of the oldest one in Human history for thousand of years, humans have built magnificent buildings, monuments and bridges, all thanks to dedicated civil engineers. A Civil engineer is responsible for designing and monitoring the construction and renovation of the physical structures, Railway projects, Roads, Local and national Infrastructure. Civil Engineering is the mother of all other branches and is a diverse field with tremendous scopes and prestige. Presently, in India there are tremendous scopes in Civil Engineering Jobs in GOVT, sector through PSC, SSC JE, UPSC and GATE. To mention further, a recent boom in real estate market and recent projects of highways development and metro railways demands civil engineers in private sector too. Civil engineering today is a lucrative course and career opportunity in West-Bengal as well as in India.

Eligibility

For candidates taking admission in 1st Year :

  • Candidates must pass Madhyamik Examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from the Board/Council.
  • There is no upper age limit. However, the candidate should not be born after 01.07.2009.
For candidates taking admission in 2nd Year :

  • Candidates must pass HS (Vocational) of WBSCT&VE&SD
OR
  • Candidates must pass 10+2 examination from the recognized Board/Council listed below, with any one of the subjects/areas of Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship
OR
  • Candidates must pass 10th + (2 years ITI, continuous), in annual system or semester system, in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
  • There is no age limit.
