  • Mechanical Engineering is the strongest area of core engineering that deals with multi directional activities, direct or indirect, committed to bring out man's material welfare by transforming available natural resources.
  • Their range of products extended from producing large space- crafts to small dental implants, from power generation to manufacturing of microchips.
  • There is a great demand of mechanical engineers in different segments of the industry.
  • Their expertise required in traditional manufacturing industries such as automobile, textile, aviation, shipping, aerospace, power plants and machine manufacturing.
  • In recent times, the service of expert mechanical engineers has been sought in fields such as Nano-technology, biomedical engineering, energy conservation and environmental engineering.
  • There is also a great requirement for mechanical consultants who have management skills along with technological proficiency.
  • The primary role of such professional is to manage both technology and people.
  • Firms that provide engineering consultancy require there is also a scope for lateral academic movement of the intending students for earn higher academic degrees.
